Our meal here was easily one of the best we’ve had on our 2 month Europe trip! Each dish we tried was absolutely amazing. We shared the artichokes, spaghetti with mussels and the octopus. We were blown away by each one!! And our server was so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!
We booked last minute and were very glad we did as many people came and tried to get a table but they were full, so recommend booking ahead of time.
Both ordered dishes were spectacular with the fettuccine plate being one of the best dishes I've ever came across. The place may be small but it provides an incredible atmosphere to dine in and have a intimate experience with whoever you show up with and the wonderful owners/staff. Couldn't recommend more.
Fantastic food !!
Stopped in for lunch and had the best meal of our trip so far. Tried several appetizers, shared a primi pasta, a delicious meat dish, dessert and coffee. All with the most welcoming service and really fair prices. We would go again in a heartbeat!
This is one of the best places to eat in Monopoli. The chef cooks in a traditional fashion that is honest and full of flavour. The portion sizes are perfect. Service is exquisite, happy and mindful for space and time to enjoy our food and drink.
I was shocked at the reasonable prices of the wine. Having eaten in the old town many time the menu felt very accessible.
We have booked to eat her again as we would like to make our way through the menu.
If you don't get to eat here I promise you will miss out on the best, proper, traditional Puglia food ever.

Incredibly friendly service and our favorite meal of our trip so far! Wine, dinner & dessert were all delicious. The ambiance is very cosy as well.
This has to be the best spot for food in all of Monopoli. Fantastic food, fantastic wine selections from the Puglia regions, and to top it off - a great, warm and lovely host. When I come back to Monopoli I will definitely be back here to eat.
A hidden gem of perfect food from Puglia. The owners clearly pay attention to their offerings being fresh, local, and very high quality. The menu changes every day. We were recommended this small restaurant by the local food supply store who said that Il Punto Cardinale makes their own orecchiette (which was excellent; and a must have) but everything else was also perfect. Thank you!
What a gem!! Authentic Italian food, not a tourist trap. Lovely service. My bf is vegetarian / pescatarian and there were many options. The wine is good too - a small list but great local wines. Very unassuming place from the outside - but trust the Google reviews. Thanks for a great meal!
